The Start of My Post-Grad Adventures: England.

Well, it has been almost three years since I've written (I'm so good at this blogging thing), but a lot has happened.  Namely, I'm officially a college graduate, and with that came the wonderful gift of spending three weeks in Europe with my boyfriend.  I mentioned him in an earlier post as the boy who carried me home after I called him a name...turns out he still carries me home almost three years later, but that's a different story.

The adventure started in England.  I would spend a week there, I would see him graduate and then we would be off to Croatia.  Being back in Leicester is just as fun as it always is...and of course I had the obligatory cheese fries in pita bread from Blue Point...I kind of want them now.  Anyway!  England was great.  On the third day, we went to the zoo to visit the penguins and have a picnic; two things I love.  Then we drove an hour out of the way for some reason I can't quite remember, but I'm sure there was a purpose (I'm boring you I know).

Next! We went to Stratford-Upon-Avon, or as I like to call it, Shakespeare-Land.  Readers Digest version?  We rode a boat for a while, we walked around, I bought some old books (Shakespeare books, obviously), and then we saw where he was buried.  Okay, so we didn't actually see WHERE he was buried because it's dumb to pay to see a coffin, but we went into the church and it was beautiful.  I have a thing for churches, in case you couldn't tell.  We had lunch and planned on having ice cream, but the store closed two minutes before we got there...which left me with a grumpy mancub who wanted ice cream.  He got over it.

Then it was time for Graduation!  The ceremony was kind of long, a lot of people talked about a lot of things that didn't really matter to me, but I'm still glad I got to be there.  Plus, my man looks good in a suit.  We had a lovely lunch with his family and then it was back to Leicester to celebrate with friends.  Which really translates to virgin pina coladas straight from coconuts in a tiki bar, but, ya know, whatever.

Then, and this could possibly be Prash's favorite part of the whole trip, we went to the National Space Centre...where our day-tickets magically got upgraded to annual tickets.  Now he can go whenever he wants.  He nerded out and dressed as an alien (I won't repost the picture), we learned about space and watched an IMAX about life on other planets narrarated by Ronald-Freaking-Weasley, and then rode a space simulation machine that almost made me cry.  Oh and that happened: -->

That night we went to dinner with friends, took a trip down memory lane, and made some new memories, in front of Hastings House in Oadby, and then I made biscuits at 3am.

Then it was on to Croatia...
